Nice of Wimbledon to invest in the roof and this thunderstorm to drown out any grunting. They really do think of everything

Yeah, I'm at the point where an umpire needs to talk to Marion about this asinine jumping. For someone who can be so endearing in interviews, she annoys the hell out of me the minute she takes the court.

In other news, what is with the royals this tournament? I can't remember seeing so many of them. Princess Beatrice today, sans fascinator, unfortunately.

Isn't that crazy? on Radio Wimbledon you can hardly hear the ball being hit. All you hear is rain & thunder

I'm a little surprised by the consensus of love for Sabine.

I fine with it. I'm just a little surprised.

Credit to a young lady who has managed to be around this long and hasn't managed to say the wrong thing in a heavily edited post-match presser, or tweet or FB something that enraged the masses. Seriously, that's probably worth something. She seems very universally adored. I hope it stays that way. She really does seem like an awfully good sort.
Maybe because she had a tough year with injury and it is nice to see her on the comeback trail.
Yeah, I think that´s it. She used to annoy me, but she´s certainly paid enough for that crime...

Might be the most bizarre atmosphere I've seen a match played in. Players keeping their concentration well considering.

Re. Sabine - people like a story of someone overcoming adversity. However, she seems a genuine sort, so I'm pretty sure she would be popular anyway.

Re wanting to win this thing. From what I've seen, they all want it. Some are just more capable of achieving it than others (not that there's a huge amount between most of them).

I certainly won't mind if Sabine wins, but I think Petra's the future of the WTA, and there could not be a greater oppurtunity that this remaining draw for her to win her first Slam. At some point, someone younger than 25 needs to win a Slam again (I guess the last under 25 was Sveta at the '09 French?).
