I'm hoping Azarenka, Bartoli, or Kvitova win this thing now. It'd be cool to see a new gs champ (although I have a feeling Kvitova probably has the best chance out of the three.) |

Wow, this is going to be interesting! 1 GS champ in the quarters, and she hasn't won one since '08. I hope the quality of play on the women's side remains so high. It has been the most pleasant surprise of this event. Regardless of who wins it, I hope there will be consensus that the 2011 women's champion deserved it. :: There were moments today when Marion Bartoli literally SCARED me. I'm serious. SCARED me. Like, if I had a child, I would scurry the rugrat off just to make sure she didn't eat him/her. SCARED me. |

At least six women could conceivably win this--seven if God is into big breasts, eight if God likes moles. I'm glad I'm out of it. As for Marion, I know exactly what you mean. It was in the eyes. |

It will be an interesting story, no matter who wins. But, Lisicki's would be the greatest to me. Lisicki: Marion: Maria: Kvitova: Azarenka: Cibulkova: , followed by Paszek: Pironkova: And for the men: Fed: Murray: Rafa: Novak: Tsonga: F-Lo: Tomic: Mardy: |

I'm a little surprised by the consensus of love for Sabine.
I fine with it. I'm just a little surprised. Credit to a young lady who has managed to be around this long and hasn't managed to say the wrong thing in a heavily edited post-match presser, or tweet or FB something that enraged the masses. Seriously, that's probably worth something. She seems very universally adored. I hope it stays that way. She really does seem like an awfully good sort. |

Much as I love Petra, I want Lisicki to win. And from what I've seen from her so far, she wants to as well. Bartoli will be a tough out. But Lisicki's serve and return, together, have been at the highest level of all the players I've seen play a complete match so far. Foxy |
