Thanks everyone for the great advice. I have one final question. If I am able to get tickets on Ticketmaster, will I have to cue up anyway just to get to the box office or is there a separate line for the box office? If I will have to cue up anyway, what time will I need to be in line to be able to get into the ground and get to the court without missing any tennis?

Again, thanks for all your great advice!

There are several queues for those with tickets (which you'll have printed out already), at least there were when I got one. They let you in as gates open, technically, although I remember they made us wait outside the gate for some reason. Anyway, you still get in quicker than anyone but the front of the general queues. and you won't miss any tennis.

Hmm. The Ticketmaster email I got about Wimbledon tickets says that you have to pick them up at a certain gate with ID and the credit card that you used to purchase them. It would be great if you could just print them out. We'll see Of course this is assuming that I even get anything from Ticketmaster.

Sorry. You could have printed them out before. Regardless, if the gate is not the main gate, there's a separate queue. Maybe Nelslus knows better, since I went in 2009 and he was there last year

Hey again, Kevin: NOPE- we did not queue last year when we got tickets from Ticketmaster UK- just waited for a few folks to be taken care of before us. It will tell you what gate to go to, you go to that gate, you'll be directed to where you need to go, show your ID and I think the credit card that you used, you get your tickets, and in you go. I think you can get your tickets as of 10 a.m., and be let in with the rest of the horde at 11 a.m. (especially if you want to dash to another court to watch other matches first)- again, though, just follow whatever instructions they give you about what time you can get your tickets. Fortunately, it really is a pretty simple process IF you can get tickets.

Hey I think I got a nice present for my birthday. I was able to get a ticket for Court 3 for tomorrow (Thursday) and because I'm staying at my friends' place which is very near Wimbledon, I'm going to try going through Ticketmaster Thursday morning as well for Friday! Even thought it's only court 3, I just love the fact that I don't have to cue up and get up in the wee hours of the morning. (doing my Snoopy happy dance!)

Thanks again for all the help!

I'm sort of in shock, but I got a Center Court ticket for today. I got it from Ticketmaster yesterday. So I'm off for my 2nd day of Wimbledon! I'm glad you guys got a ticket yesterday!
