Default ESPN Reporter Stalks Venus
Matt Wilansky happened to see Venus on the street yesterday, and he filmed her just walking. This whole article is just plain weird.

OMG, I saw Venus Williams

That is just bizarre and wrong. Is it supposed a joke? I mean, this guy has been covering tennis for some time.

I liked it. He obviously IS NOT a stalker. And it is well written, and on a light side.
He actually makes more fun of himself: "I was more pathetic".

I'm with M on this one. I think it's creepy and unprofessional.

Yeah I definitely find it creepy as well. At first I was thinking of putting myself in his place. There's two problems with that. First, I'd probably try to approach Venus instead of following her. Second, this guy's supposed to be an experienced reporter, shouldn't he know better than to be star-struck?

I found the filming her walking in front of him creepy, the rest is just unprofessional. But, really, it's the web editors who are to blame for this going up. ESPN is not a fan blog or TMZ (although even TMZ would probably approach her).

I'm not saying his reaction is creepy, just the fact that he thinks it's ok to write that then face her in the interview room.

Ugh, yeah, I vote with creepy and unprofessional.

This would be fine if it were on a fan blog, but not appropriate for a reporter from a major news outlet.
