So... I've decided to play a fun game. (Fun is relative.)

The hypothetical is: if I had to draw a seed, which seed would I most/least want from each group of four (since I think that it's groups of four that are dispersed throughout). Here's what I decided for this group for Wimbledon:

1-4

Most: Caroline WOZNIACKI (DEN) [1] Yeah, I said it.
Least: Vera ZVONAREVA (RUS) [2] Defending finalist, and she just beat Serena? No thanks.

5-8

Most: Francesca SCHIAVONE (ITA) [6] Fran's got skillz, no doubt, even on the grass, but this foursome is probably tougher as a whole than the top one.
Least: Maria SHARAPOVA (RUS) [5] ONLY because she's got more match toughness coming into this, because does anyone REALLY want to see Serena in their section, either?

9-12

Most: Andrea PETKOVIC (GER) [11] Love her, but she's the weakest of this section
Least: Marion BARTOLI (FRA) [9] For me, this is it. It should be Stosur, but she doesn't put fear in her opponents' hearts on this surface.

13-16

Most: Jelena JANKOVIC (SRB) [15] What's she done as of late? Plus, she lost to Oudin here once.
Least: Agnieszka RADWANSKA (POL) [13] Tough call for me between her and Pavs, but Radwanska's pedigree is terrific.

17-20

Most: Kaia KANEPI (EST) [17] Last year's quarterfinalist is still trying to get her game back together
Least: Shuai PENG (CHN) [20] Has had the solidest year of these four. It should be Ana I. but I have no idea what she'll bring to this tournament. Will it be the same Ana who got Larssoned?

21-24

Most: Flavia PENNETTA (ITA) [21] The others are all good candidates, but doubles aside, Flavia's year's been pretty un-noteworthy.
Least: Venus WILLIAMS (USA) [23] In a walk.

25-28

Most: Maria KIRILENKO (RUS) [26] Girl can't buy a win right now.
Least: Daniela HANTUCHOVA (SVK) [25] Provided she gets a little rest before Wimbledon. Almost picked Jarka because of that.

29-32

Most: Tsvetana PIRONKOVA (BUL) [32] Duh. She even beat Vinci for this dubious honor.
Least: Lucie SAFAROVA (CZE) [31] Almost picked Sister B, but Safarova's coming off a final, so that's something.

That's all! Feel free to post your own ideas (or to throw tomatoes at mine)! But I stand behind them all.

I think.
