Roger/Feli first round, or Nole/JMDP 3rd - hard to figure out who pissed off the draw gods more?

Lopez got a bad deal after having a pretty good clay season.

But for bad draws, there are really two terrible slots:

Isner must have pissed someone off.

De Bakker must have done something bad too.

I guess I'm more used to seeing a qualifier or WC served up as a R1 sacrifice. Most of them seem to have gotten a much better deal in this draw. I like the spread overall.

Quite a lot of good names that Rafa could have to go through - Isner, Giraldo, Davydenko, Verdasco, Soderling and Murray. Although some of them are better names than they are tennis players this season

As good a draw as Andy M could have hoped for, including qualifiers in rounds one and two.

Just got back from the gym, where the talk of the day was about just how screwed de Bakker is 't Was nice to hear the muscle men and women talk about it, though. At least (Dutch) tennis is still something of interest.

I don't know but I think Andy Murray must have pre-sent them a bottle of wine or something.

His draw is very good similar to the one he had in Monte Carlo and Rome.

I was thinking it was Andy Murray, but the beneficiary of that deal might end up being Jurgen Melzer. Unless he's still injured. Anyone remember why he retired in Rome?

Precisely and as good as Raonic/Dolgo/Troicki have shown themselves to be the last year with their improvements...all have been very inconsistent on clay.

Then Melzer in the QF - who is probably the weakest of the 5-8 seeds..

It was his back. Could cause an early round retirement or maybe the time off to rest it could eliminate the problem.

Well, unless there are lots of upsets along the way, which is quite possible, if Rafa wins another title at Roland Garros, he'll have earned it. The only thing that could have made it worse is if Roger had landed in his half as well instead of Murray. And even as bad as Soderling has been lately, I doubt Rafa cares to see him in his quarter.

Some really awesome early round matches. I'm excited!

I'm pretty happy with Raonic's draw here. Assuming he's healthy, he gets two fairly easy rounds to play his way into form, then he gets the least threatening top-4 at the moment. Hopefully he makes it to Murray, that will be fun to watch!

Qualifiers/lucky losers have been placed. Harrisson isn't one of the lucky losers.

Bolelli has been a disappointment. I thought he'd be a better player.

I predict that Gasquet/Stepanek match is going to give me bracket nightmares tonight.
