Just like last week the WTA seeds are doing better then the ATP seeds (outside the top 3 of course.) What's going on?

The girl that beat Schnyder, Belgium's Alison Van Uytvanck, is making her WTA debut and has only lost one match this year in ITF/Juniors. She's 37-1 for the year now
Oh geez. I hope she stays out of the top 100 for our sakes. I suppose we could just call her AVU.

Have you missed all the times the ATP has been break-fests lately?

Interesting!

Wasn't there another Belgian junior few years ago who was supposed to make a splash soon? I'm forgetting her name now...but I haven't heard of her recently.

EDIT: I remember now...Tammy Hendler. She hasn't been making much progress, right?

Varvara Lepchenko put up a good showing against Caro. I'd say it was Woz's first serve that won her the 2nd set tiebreak.

Brussels has been interesting this morning - first up on TC I saw Vera smash the heck out of Dulgheru in 47 minutes flat - 60 61 - then on to Caro and Yanina. Bad news for Yanina (or maybe prudence) - she retires at 0-2 in the first set. Caro advances to SF.
