SO, Petkovic wins the first set 6-1. SO of course, Vesnina wins the second set 6-0. At which point Petkovic goes up 3-0, double break. At which point Vesnina goes up 5-3, 30-love, and then 40-30. At which point of course we go to a third set tiebreaker- which Elena wins pretty much utilizing the complicated strategy of both players during their winning-games moments: "Keep the ball in play!", with the opponent thinking that "Hit the ball out!" is the way to go.
I'm tellin' ya, this all woulda been enough to make Lucic and Miss Alexandra Stevenson blush during their qualifying match today. After watching the 15 (for your winnah) vs. 8 DF, combined-triple-digit-errors horror-fest from Maria and Elena D. last night- I think it's time for nelslus and baby nelslus to try out Talk About Golf. |
