Default Nadal Middle East controversy?
Does anyone know what this is refering to (From Jon W's Twitter): "Nadal says he DID NOT make those statements re: the Middle East conflict. will address in next column. stay tuned...."

I checked Google news for recent stories but could find nothing.

Yeah, this was on here recently. I don't remember all of the details, but basically it was reported that he sides with Palestine over Israel as part of a story about Spanish athletes or celebrities being asked to take part in some Gaza-related protest.

Someone else please do a better and more responsible job of recounting this?

Al-Hayat also named Nadal as a potential flotilla passenger, saying he "condemned Israel's aggression against the Gaza Strip" during its offensive in the coastal territory last year.

Does that also mean that he is not supporting the flotilla and that he hasn't been approached in this hush-hush manner?

And if it is ALL fake...I wonder how Rafa got dragged into this in the first place.....
