Default Kim/Justine: WHO YA GOT?
Another Battle of the Belgians and for my money, the best potential match on the WTA slate for tomorrow. Shame it is coming so early in the tournament, as right now, these two look to be playing as well as anyone in the draw.

Everyone pretty much knows the history - entering the pro ranks together, reaching the top of the tour early in their careers. Very evenly matched, though Justine always seeme to have the upper hand come Slam time. Both retire, and go through major life transtions (one marries and has a child, one divorces), and then one comes back, wins a Slam, and the other comes back. And again, both rise immediately to the top of the game.

Career H2H - tied 12-12. Career on grass is 3-1, Justine. Career at Slams, 5-2 Justine. Since both have returned to the Tour, 2-0 Clijsters (both have gone 3 sets, with their Brisbane final considered by many to be the best WTA mtch of the year thusfar).

I really have no idea, but I picked Clijsters in 2. She should be able to overpower Justine, and since they both un-retired she doesn't seem to mind winning.

Kim still goes away mentally, but she seems to now keep it to games, rather than sets. She's win the first, hiccup in the second, and close strong after wearing Justine down. Kimmie in three.

I picked Kim in three as well, but I'm hoping that Justine takes it in three instead, mostly for selfish reasons.

Clijsters has been far more impressive on her return - she must have exorcised those ghosts by now.. she will win in straight sets, beat Venus in 3 and lose in the finals to Serena...

It will all come down to Justine's serve. In their previous two encounters this year, the real difference was Justine's serve and the number of double faults she served up. Also on grass, he backhand seems more penetrating.
