She looked pretty good. I should probably sleep two but there's two pretty, French guys playing on Lenglen
Maybe just 10 more minutes...

Obviously I need some sleep when I'm spelling "too" with a 'w'

No doubt.

Good match for Venus--still too many DFs, but her backhand was lethal. Parra Santonja played well too, but V too intimidating at the net. I thought she'd have more trouble with that one.
I missed the entire first set and started watching a few games into the second set (Seems like my brain woke me up before my body was ready to wake up ), so I wasn't able to watch it like I wanted to. Thanks for the summary! I looked at the statistics when it was over, and she had 5 DF's.
That's 5 DF's too many.

But still, from what I saw, she played great. Good aggressive play with defense when she needed it. Someone elsewhere calls what Venus needs to do on clay "controlled aggression," which is basically what I saw out there from her today.

I've never thought Monfils was a looker, but I do think Ouanna is. I'm tempted to watch..but I should sleep at least an hour more...

It's actually Tsonga and Ouanna out there today. I always thought Monfils looked like a crazy person. Definitely not my type.

Tsonga is coincidentally playing the best clay court match of his life. He's halfway home in just 34 minutes.

Meh, now it's just Federer. That's enough to put me to sleep.

Wow, apparently my brain decided that it wanted it to be Monfils (so I could go back to sleep) even though I clearly read Tsonga's name on the scoreboard.

I have been watching Leonardo Mayer play. I had sen him at the USO last year when he lost to the Worm, but he looked very talented to my inexperienced eyes.
Is his problem inconsistency? Because he seems to have a nice game.

Badly is Roger playing today...

Lucky he is that the opponent is a mere retriever...

Falla played a much better set than Federer but I knew he wasn't going to win it after that first point in the 6-5 game when he served for the set. I think Falla's going to go away rather quickly now, unfortunately. It could have been a very competitive encounter.
