Organizers probably think Gasquet has a better chance on the much slower court of Suzanne Lenglen. They had Monfils play Roddick there last year as well. (and I wouldn't be surprised if they put Monfils-Federer on Suzanne Lenglen as well, should it come to that match.)

Hmm sounds right. I was thinking they wanted to put him on a smaller court so he would feel less pressure.

They just want to have one frenchie on each court to satisfy all the ticket holders.

Yes, but don't you think they might use a scheduling advantage for the French players, too, if possible? I think most tournament directors would do it for the home players and/or big stars of the tournament.

There most important task is to try at least in the first rounds to always have a frenchie playing to show on tv, then to have some on the big courts where people payed their tickets and then they look at the players themselves ...

really the Public is the main focus as on every tennis arena I'm afraid

Is Tennis Channel really just showing a side view of the Oudin match rather than broadcasting a more viewer friendly match?

It's a non-TV court, they only have the bird's eye-view camera and a handheld one on it.

Tursunov said he doesn't know who Gimeno-Traver is and will find out when he steps on court. It didn't seem like he cared much either. I'm just glad he was able to finish the match, hopefully it means he's healthy.
