No surprise on Del Potro as the 8 week mark is either at Miami or Monte Carlo. Gonzalez to help Chile in their need of recovering from the earthquake.

The women will be having a separate "Hit for Haiti" exhibition match also. Too bad it doesn't seem there will be any mixed matches. I liked the one put together by Roger in Australia better. But Steffi and Lindsay are great catches!

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. — Retired stars Steffi Graf, Martina Navratilova and Lindsay Davenport are joining Justine Henin in a second match at a charity tennis exhibition to raise money for Haiti.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will team with retired stars Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi in an already announced men's match during the "Hit for Haiti" benefit to be played on March 12 at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Tournament director Steve Simon says he expects a minimum of US$1 million to be raised for Haiti earthquake relief efforts. A similar event held during the Australian Open raised more than $600,000.

Federer and Sampras will team for a doubles against Nadal and Agassi. Graf and Davenport will play Navratilova and Henin, who recently returned to the pro tour after a brief retirement.

Net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the American Red Cross. Fans will be able to donate onsite and through text messages. http://www.google.com/hostednews/can...fCcg7Dw9J28kqA

The organizing differences may be because they had more playing time in Oz, Rabbit. At the AO, it was a daytime event held the day before the Aussie started. At IW, they are using the stadium court at night on a day when other matches will be going on. They probably only have a couple of hours of court time, and have to structure the event accordingly.

Having said that, I'm sure there will be some improv tennis as part of this.

Kim and Serena played in the AO version. I think maybe someone else might step up when they have an idea of their schedule for the 1st couple of days.
