This is ironic.
Yoni Ehrlich and Andy Ram won a doubles slam title (at the AO?) a couple of years ago. Then Ehrlich had injury problems and Ram played all last year with max Mirnyi. Ehrlich is healthy, Mirnyi spkit from Ram, but Ram and Ehrlich didn't rejoin. Ram entered the AO with Llodra, and went out in the second round. Yoni has ben playing with Arnaud Clement, and they just took the second set 6-1 from the second seeds Nestor and Zimonjic after losing a 6-3 first set. They are really clicking and are now up a break in the 3rd at 3-1.

Do you know why they didn't rejoin, Doc_P? Erlich/Ram and Clement/Llodra would make so much more sense.

When did Arnaud and Mika part ways, M8? I know they were still a team at IW in 2008 (we saw them play against Melo/Sa), but at IW last year, Mika was playing with Radek.

I think it's when Llodra had a long injury layoff in, I want to say, late 08? I may be making this up, I do remember it was due to injury

Clement/Erlich serving for the match. Will be happy for them, but I want Nestor/Zimo!

Andy Ram wanted to be seeded higher for AO. He's on a trial, picking up points run ( ) with Llodra, before rejoining with Erlich. Llodra has said he wants to concentrate on singles. Part of me thinks Erlich's inspired play here was to send a message to Andy Ram. Probably not, but it's fun speculating.

Thanks, greenhopper.

I was afraid it was because Erlich wasn't supposed to have fully recovered from his injury.

Moodie and Lisa just finished off Chuang/Polasek in a third set tiebreaker 13-11. Both teams had match points and MANY chances to win this- including with a Polasek serve after Moodie had just double faulted.

that makes a lot of sense. Yoni looked very healthy, and he racked up some points with Clement until they lost last night
