She pulled out of Hong Kong today (was to face Vika)...have they announced she is officially out here as well?
Probably not. I'm sure I got my events mixed up... Thanks for the clarification.

If the ankle is at all gimpy, I would think she'll pull out though, Dry. She's got semifinal points to defend at the AO, and I can't imagine her risking her participation at a Slam to play Sydney, if she isn't 100%.

Oh yeah... The match where she was supposed to beat Safina, but instead got clocked... And knocked me out of the Suicide Pool.

Thank you SO MUCH for bringing up THAT incredibly unpleasant memory!

But she's still better than Paul-Henri Mathieu. Not that I hold a grudge or anything...

Who said Pavlyuchenkova is going to have a great year? Just lost in qualies to Radionova 6-3, 6-3

Vika wouldn't have play either. She was sick

It makes sense that she would pull out of Sydney if she made it far in Brisbane. I imagine she would want 3-5 matches to get ready. If she had lost early in Brisbane, she would need Sydney, but she wouldn't want to push herself physically before the AO.

I'm hoping the Melbourne draw gods want to see Serena/Justine also.

She'll want to peak for Melbourne.

And I'm not ready for that big of an internet meltdown here (or at WTAworld) this early in the season when Justine and Serena play.
