People like hurricanejeanne use it all the time. Trust me, if the Travel Channel isn't on the TV then the Weather Channel is for her. When I lived at home we had to pay an extra $10 a month for TC which is stupid considering the Golf Channel came with all the other sports channels without extra cost. And I'm with the point that the Fox Sports Channels are pointless. |

What the cable networks don't seem to realize is that they are paving the way for a la carte pricing, which they are steadfast against. As cable prices go up, the government will have to intervene. Remember the days when the cable company charged $5 for the remote rental every month? With a-la-carte pricing, consumers would choose and pay for only the channels they want. This would be beneficial to the consumers and very detrimental to all the networks since they would only get paid per subscriber. I for one cannot wait for a-la-carte pricing.

My brother in law watches The Weather Channel religiously. Guaranteed, he would take that as part of his programming. |
