If "they" had it in for Serena, why did "they" not do anything when she threatened Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez in Paris?
because it happened at Paris and not in the US. I would say they don't deal with petty things like that over there. It was a big deal here in the US because she was a woman, an American black woman at that. They didn't want her to win the US Open and neither did that line judge who so clearly called the bad call on purpose so Serena would lose the point.

Just so glad that her own country didn't keep her from getting an award she deserved.

Thanks for the laugh. Merry Christmas.

Why wouldn't they want an American to win the US Open? That's all they talk about is the state of American tennis. It kind of defeats the purpose. Also I don't think the line judge wanted to specifically make Serena lose. She thought that Serena's foot touched the line and she called it, its not like the call was on match point, Serena did that on her own.

Golf is not a sport; it's a leisure activity, anyway, IMO--one that takes a high degree of skill, but you can still be extremely out of shape and excel.

LOL, my rule is that if the fat guy can win, it is not a sport.

Racing is also skill oriented but even less so, since a crappy car is getting you no where near the checkered flag. Same for sports that involve animals, such as horse racing or polo.
