I think if "top" is top 10, it's true for Myskina. I think she was something like No.6 when she got her foot injury, and that was 2006. I have a faulty memory, though. |

I do think the bottom 5 of the WTA list is a bit questionable in spots. On a personal note, if on the ATP list, Roddick can be listed above Safin on the basis of "longevity in the top ten" even though he has less slams than Safin, then the same curtesy should be given to Davenport. She was year end top ten for 5 years of this decade, number one for 3 of those years. I'd consider that consistancy.

I checked... Both ended two seasons in the top 10 (2003, 2004 for Myskina; 2007, 2008 for Ivanovic), but Ana has more GS finals and higher peak ranking. Anyway, I hope the story ends better for Ana. |

It wouldn't even be too ridiculous to place her behind Clijsters as well. For the 2000s: Kimmie has 2 Slams, and 32 other titles. Also has 4 Slam finals appearances. Factor in doubles, and you can give her a few more Slams as well. Maria has 3 Slams, and 17 other titles. And 1 Slam final. |

as for the WTA list, placing Sharapova ahead of Venus is laughable. I also don't know if I would have put Maria and even Kim ahead of Lindsay either but... Foxy |
