Default The Charlie Commemorative Davydenko Thread.
OK, kids, c'mon now. Let's be fair. Faithful fan Charlie has suffered FAR long enough.

Plus, with all of the obscene crap that he had to go through with that "Gambling" fiasco, coming back from so many injuries, being top 5 for SO long while Everyone Else win the big titles......It is time to throw all of our TAT Karma Davydenko's way. If Nalbandian can have his one big win- I sez, it's Davydenko's time. (Plus, Del Potro- c'mon, who ELSE is gonna be in the final?!?!?- has got a kazillion years left to win his inevitable Crop O' Big Titles.)

I'm on Team Charlie Davydenko for the final.

Nelslus has apparently not impressed with his momentary lapse into sincerity.

P.S. I truly do want your boy to win now. So there.

When Plan A isn't workin' for me (i.e., Rog and V win every tournament in history)- then I tend to go for Plan B. I deep down truly hate it when a real top player (Shriver, Henman, Sukova, Casals, etc., etc.) don't at least get one Slam, or at least a big title such as the ATP Championships, under their belt (for an exception to this rule, please see: Murray, Andy.) (AND when Plan B doesn't work out, then there's Plan C. Such as Groenefeld gettin' a Wimbledon mixed title. I.e., POOR Tauziat. )

Good idea for a thread, Nelslus. After all that work, Kolya deserves to finally win a large tournament. I'll be rooting for him in the final.

Well he has won Miami, which is often called the fifth slam, so I think he does have a big tournament under his belt.

I am very stoked about the final tomorrow. Who would have thought that none of the top 4 would reach the final? It's been a kooky week. I'm expecting a high quality match.

And just so everyone knows, there IS some room available in the Davydenko Fan Club.

(but just to be safe, you should get in your applications ASAP)

I'm grandfathered in since I've been a fan for about... six years.

This is what I will be doing with my Davydenko Fan Club application:
While Mr. Burns appreciates the need for Smithers to get sufficient practice concerning stuffing things in his mouth.....

Alternate post: NOBODY was askin' for YOUR application to be returned, Mr. Crabby Pants.

Count me in - I've been very impressed with Davydenko's play since USOpen. He's taken over the spot that used to be reserved for Nalbandian. I realize it might seem a strange comparison, but Davydenko's cross court backhand reminds me a lot of Nalbandian's.

Hmmm shouldn't we have had a meeting about this?
