Kiefer has retired in 1st r of qualifying leading 6-1, 5-6, anybody know why? It seems his body has been going Golovin this year.

While I am very excited that TAT will be covering Basel this week, I've also been looking forward to Valencia this year, because this tournament was going to look amazing.

(The Agora main stadium)

If I remember correctly, this is a walkway outside the science museum.

The other show courts were built over water!

No, the whole complex, called the City of Arts and Sciences, is by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. Calatrava is from Valencia and his nephew is former ATP Pro Alex Calatrava

Calatrava is also doing one of the buildings for the 9/11 memorial, among other things

I wonder if the ceiling will create depth perception problems for the players when they are serving.

Federer and Chiudinelli are playing doubles against Cerretani and Qureshi. Both Cerretani and Roger were right at the net, and Cerretani smashed a ball hard into Roger's thighs. Luckily, no injuries, it seems.
