Default NYT: History of McEnroe Tirades
Dave Seminara, the writer who brought the longest-point-ever story to light in the New York Times recently, takes another look at a key moment from 1984 - McEnroe's famous tirade ("Answer the question, jerk!"). The Times story has an interview with the Swedish umpire on the receiving end of the incident and also quotes Anders Jarryd, the other player on the court (today, he's Mac's doubles partner).

Read and enjoy!

Thanks!

Reading this makes people like Carillo look even more hypocritical. McEnroe was just given a warning for firing a ball in anger right at a spectator!!
