That is a horrible entry list for the women's tournament. What's up with Dementieva, Kuznetsova, Safina, and Sharapova? I count on all the Russians to play the Kremlin without fail. And Venus and Serena took turns the last couple of years.

Roadkill?

WHAT? The prospect of a Dushevina/Pavlyuchenkova final doesn't give you goosebumps?

Some people are just too damned picky.

Yes, The tournament was downgraded . Plus the tournament was 2 weeks earlier last year, the last big one before the Yeard End Championship

This should have been made a mandatory over Madrid, which should have been a Premier 5/6. For it to be downgraded this much is just sad.

Kuznetsova complained back in June that because of Roadmap, she and other top Russians will have to sit it out, since the points are now less (I think) and it's before Doha

Poor Moscow, this was never a favorite indoor tournament (bad Lindsay memories), but I always enjoyed watching the Russian girls play at home.

You've got to be joking.
Perhaps Davydenko will be tired from Shanghai and pull out.

On second thought, it is Moscow, and his Year End chances could depend on it.
