Where is everybody?

I'm wondering if Ana is practicing on a nearby court. There's a lot of shoe squeaking going on out there.

For what it's worth- you can see the Del Potro/Nadal AND the women's doubles SF live from the US Open site.

Gotta admit, Delpo has left a lasting impression on me for the second straight USO in a row. Last year, Scotty and I sat through the entire 5 setter vs. Simon. This year, his entire run has made me a fan.

Eeek, first set Del Potro. Too many unforced errors, Rafa.

That was a great first set by del Potro. He really needs to keep Rafa down, I don't think he is capable of winning by coming from behind.

By the way, Cara and Leizel are completely outplaying Sam and Stubbs today. Up a double break in the third, 3-0.

Sam just playing like a complete zombie out there. Rennae not much better. Finally managed to win a service game, 4-1.

Rafa complaining to the umpire, that's not a good sign. (although it was too bad the linesperson call that ball out)

I was watching Marat Safin's meltdown when he got a footfault called vs. Tursunov....so I didn't see this.

What happened? Was the ball out? Did Rafael challenge?

Cara and Leizel take it 6-1 in the third. Except for a couple of doubles from Cara in one game in the third- they were just rock solid. Played confident and terrific tennis. And Sam and Rennae just could not get it together. They'd hit one excellent shot- and mostly all that Cara and Leizel had to do was get the ball back in play- and Sam and Rennae- especially Sam- would manage to find a way to botch up the point.

Me too. He is my second favorite player right now.

This could end fast if del Potro can hold serve three straight times...

The lines call it out, the umpire overruled. And it was meaning break point for Rafa.

I don't believe in jinxes and I really want a del Potro win here.
