P.S. Please also note that they've dumped Stubbs/Stosur vs. Huber/Black on Court 11, second match.
Hell, why not make 'em fetch their own tennis balls (note that under these circumstances nelslus made sure to add "tennis" here ), too, just to make sure that they know exactly how the USTA feels about them. |

P.S. Please also note that they've dumped Stubbs/Stosur vs. Huber/Black on Court 11, second match. BTW- they've added Nadal-Gonzo to finish between the two women's semis now (not before 14:00 and may be moved to Armstrong) |

I'm in Philly, not NY, but the weather map makes it look like this system kind of has this whole block of the mid-Atlantic colored in the same crappy radar colors.
It's been raining here since late last night, with maybe a few minutes respite in between torrents. And it's not planning to ease up anytime soon. So if we don't play today (my guess), what do you think the plan will be? Can you make Rafa/Gonzo close out their match Saturday a.m., and have the winner back on court for a semi against a well rested Delpo in the same day? There is precendent - they did that to Schiavone a few years back in the 1/4s, when they had her finish out a match against Ai, then play J-Cap later that day. Or do you finish Nadal/Gonzo Saturday between womens semis, play mens semis and womens final Sunday, and mens final Monday, like you did last year? |

THIS I must agree on. I also heard Early's commments (btw, of course he wasn't saying for sure that there will be a 2 hour window- just that there's the chance.) It is 100% absurd that they would not put Rafa/Gonzo on Ashe first if given the possibility. Even putting them on first at Armstrong is not fair. (BUT- P.S. If you're GONNA put them on Armstrong- ya better put them on first!!!!) You should continue the match on the same court you started the match. I truly hope that Rafa will use his power and influence to blow a major fuse with all of this. |
