There are some people who for the past few years made the theories that Maria gets the easier draws of all players... well now she got Elena Dementieva early on who she just lost to recently. I wonder what they think of their theories now.

Vlad they couldn't do anything else considering her seeding. Just because something happens once doesn't mean what happened in the past is invalidated. There was a lot of online chatter about the soft draws she got when she returned to the tour due to use of her special ranking.

Any proof of this nonsense? Sharapova could have faced anyone 1-8 in the first round, so if they really wanted to rig it they could have given her Zvonareva.

But the draws aren't rigged, and never have been, so that didn't happen.

I think it's nearly impossible to disillusion people of conspiracy theories if they believe in it strongly enough (rightly or wrongly).

Some people believe God planted fossils in order to deceive humans into believing in evolution.
