This should have probably gone into Tennis Random, Random, but I didn't want it to get lost.

Friends of mine at a Russian ATP forum are now hosting a blog by Chair Umpire Carlos Bernardes. It's in English.

It's a really interesting look at behind the scenes on Tour, plus Carlos is pretty awesome.

Anyway, it's here: http://atptour.ru/blog.php?u=8399. I think you may need to register here to read it, but the registration form is in English, and it's really quick. You can also ask him questions through it if you register

I chatted with him before the doubs match today in Cincy. He's working the day session - after coming off a record 13 consecutive night sessions stretching back to Montreal. Says days are harder because of the heat, but all of those night sessions wore him out.

I tried finding it but my Russian is really not good. Where exactly on the boards would it be under? Can you list the topic as in Russian? Thanx as it sounds interesting.

Sorry about that, Lattegirl. I double checked and you do have to register. You can register here:
http://atptour.ru/ucp.php?mode=register

you can pick the language to be "British English" when you register, so all the interface will be in English.

After you register, when you click at the link I gave in the first post, it'll take you straight to his blog
