I actually agree with the reporting commentary. I do believe Murray is in Roger's and Novak's head. Let's face it, Roger is in a slump (of course any other player on tour would love to be in such a slump -- but for Roger, it's exactly that) and Novak could be pummeled by a player outside the top 100 on any given day.

I think Rafa is the only thing standing in Murray's way. And I could see him winning Wimbledon or the US Open, or both.

I could see the US Open or the Australian next year. I don't see Wimbledon yet. He's not aggressive on a consistent enough basis. I think the crowd will work in his favor later in his career, but not yet.

Murray's main problem to me is that he's too much of a pusher. It will work for awhile until people figure out his game (see Andy Roddick) and then he'll be on a one way trip to Kuznetsovaville on the Hewitt express.

Exactly. He'll get one or 2 slams in the next 2-3 years drop down and tread 2-3k points behind the top 5 for a few.

I would not compare him to any of those mentioned in terms of talent and what they are capable of doing with tennis ball. Murray can play offensive game as well and even when he is playing defense, he is in control of the points most of the time. Even though he may be hyped a lot, I still think his game is underrated. His record vs. top 3 in last 8 months of so is a proof to what he is capable of. Now, he just had to transfer these results into slam wins.

So, you think Rafa will be winning basically everything? Or you think it would be Rafa and Novak?

That's a mental image I could've done without.

IMO Murray has a better chance to be #1 than anyone else who hasn't been there yet.

Djokovic is really the only other one in the conversation.

Who else would be the next new #1 besides those two? Del Potro seems unlikely.

The young players in the top 25 who are talked about:

Djokovic
Murray
Del Potro
Simon
Monfils
Tsonga
Cilic
Gasquet
