Andy Murray stuns Eastbourne by turning out at County Cup

The amateur players of Hertfordshire got the shock of their lives when they turned up for their county match yesterday to find none other than Andy Murray in the opposition.

The world No 3 interrupted his post-Wimbledon break to turn out for North of Scotland for one day only at the County Week festival in Eastbourne, along with his brother Jamie.

A friend told me about this yesterday. Apparently, the North Scotland team had its players pull out, and someone there had a contact with Jamie Murray, called him up just in case, and Jamie agreed to play for them. The next day, he and Andy just drove down to Eastbourne and showed up.

The other side of the coin is that apparently Andy was supposed to be flying to Miami to work on his fitness that day. His fitness trainer flew out earlier and is now pissed off in Miami.
