I never realized how much Del Potro looks like Lurch.

Did someone slip Dr. Ivo a sleeping pill?

You rang?
Yes, that's good. But I was thinking more about the Lurch in the remake.

I love how the Croatian team is arranged from tallest to shortest. Monaco's really getting shaggy, like Acasuso used to be.

so... Andreas Beck was getting more or less killed in the first set by Verdasco (losing 0:6, winning just one return point and 6 pts overall), finally holds serve in the second set to 1-all and it's been a different match since. Verdasco seemed to all the sudden get nervous and started hitting more and more errors, while Beck started to play some courageous tennis. The result? one break for Beck to go up 3:2 and another one to take the set 6:3.

So now that we have a match, the TV station decides to quit tennis to show Formula One PRACTISE.

And Beck takes the third in the tie-break. He is hitting some amazing angled shots.

Don't wanna jinx poor Dudi, but Israel is one set away from being virtually guaranteed to make the Davis Cup semis!

Dudi did it! After coming back from a break down in the fourth! Crap. I wanted to pick Israel so badly, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Meanwhile, are we taking bets whether Berdych is going to hold on to his match?

Any idea on why the Czechs decided to have Minar play singles instead of Stepanek?

James and Ivo look to be heading to a fourth set tie-break. I'd like James to close it out here rather than end up in a fifth set hell.

Philipp seems to play well at Davis Cup, TinaMarie.

The doubles match will be huge tomorrow. I think Philipp could beat Verdasco on clay, but I'm not so sure about Beck's chances against Tommy. If the Germans can go up 2-1 after tomorrow, I think they win the tie.
