Yeah, but I have a strange affinity for interesting names that start with "Q", so I guess I'm okay with the loss.

(leaving the order of day- thread to the ladies final)

Mladenovic just lost the second set to Lertcheewakarn. First time I have ever seen anyone of these two play, but I have to say Kristina looks like the much better player. Good serve, powerful groundstrokes, but she seems to be incredibly nervous and hits A LOT of UE. Lertcheewakarn on the other hand has hit something like 7 winners the entire match, she is more consistent and brings a lot of balls back but doesn't have Mladenovic's power. I know it sounds harsh, but I can't see her making it on the main tour... She is 18 already, right?

overall the match is not exactly high quality. I hope Kristina gets it together, though.

Mladenovic is really self-destructing right now, down 2 breaks in third. Lertcheewakarn is returning Mladenovic's heavy strokes pretty well, though, and hardly misses anything at the moment.

Don't we have some players in the top 50 doing just that? Or do you mean she won't win GS's? In that case I agree.

I meant really making it on the main tour- like reaching the top 20, winning tournaments. I am simply pretty unimpressed by her- Agnieska Radwanska might not have any great weapons either, but she plays smart tennis, has a decent serve and good volleys. I just didn't see similar qualities in Lertcheewakarn today. I don't watch a lot of junior's tennis, so I might be totally off here, though. (and just to be clear, I don't wish to be right about her in any way, she has done what she needed to do to win the second set and possibly the match, so she deserves the title and the Wild Cards that may come with it and I'd be happy to see her prove me wrong. )

Lertcheekawarn does it. Congratulations to her!
I really didn't expect this after the first set, but she figuered out what she had to do and fought back. again, I'd be happy to be wrong about her
