Looks like they are spreading the wealth with the Williams sisters. I'm sure some will suggest that Venus deserves Center Court more than Serena and I would have to agree with that notion.

Nah, I'm actually quite ok with this. It's the Wozniacki/Cirstea type matches with Dina, Serena and other top players on lesser courts I have issues with. And I don't buy the BS about looks and spreading the wealth. If these players want to deserve a spot on CC and larger courts they need to earn it.

Venus should win her match in twenty minutes while Serena could well lose. They did it right.

At this point, a defending champion,at QF stage, needs to be put on Centre Court regardless of the other 3 quarterfinal matches. Period....

After today, I'm LESS concerned about the court scheduling and MORE concerned about what NBC will do... Not that it really matters, actually, thanks to livestreams... If someone can find them...

But as a matter of principle, former champions of a particular major deserve premier court assignment... Hell, maybe if they'd put Venus on Court 972 in Melbourne or Roland Garros, she might have a frippin' chance... Lord knows she's earned the opportunity to be smacked with some crappy court assignments at those events.

From what I have seen, Lisicki is likely to beat Safina (she MURDERED Caroline) and Azarenka might give Serena lots of trouble, but her win over Petrova was not entirely convincing (unlike her win over Cirstea)

People, it's the WTA. Lourdes Dominguez Lino probably still has a shot at the title.

I watched a bit of Sabine's match against Anna C, and she was really off form in some portions of that match and was lucky to get through. It's nice to see how her level has picked up.

Lisicki is holding onto that break and Venus already ran away with the first set.

Lisicki's serve is incredible.
The only other player in WTA other than a Williams that uses serve as a big weapon?

Dina is in trouble here.

Dinara's second serve has totally fallen apart. When it goes in it's one of the heaviest on tour. She has seemingly has lost all control of it lately though.

As expected Safina fights her way back. She's going to win this match because I don't think Lisicki is for the Final Four just yet.

We'll see.
