I wonder whether there was a case of a player going far in slams or in tourneys but actually failing to clinch a title or having little to show despite good runs and being very good a player...Youzhny and Nieminen fit that case for instance.

ha that looks bad. I read she very recently split with her new coach despite her run to the semis in RG.... Let see if she can get that elusive singles title in 2009!
