IMO.......The Sod has completely given Roger the career grand slam and a tie of Pistol Petes record by knocking out Nadal, and he will choke big time on the big stage! I just wish he had to earn it by beating Nadal!
Get ready for a bunch of crying and worshipping of Federer tomorrow! He rolls Soderling in 3 easy sets lasting less than 2 hours! PS.....Dont watch ESPN tomorrow drop-shot, lol. |

I said Roger in four because I hear the commentators already. First, Roger's history, and how long awaited this opportunity is and how big of an opportunity without Nadal. Then, how he is steam rolling, making it look effortless and showing people that not only should he be number one in the world, he is the greatest of all time. Then, suddenly, they are mystified that he is not playing well, that he is letting it all slip away and that Soderling has found his stride and is making Roger look awkward and not at home on the court. Then, Soderling has lost all of his potential, he is too tired and too unused to the pressure that he crumbles leaving Roger to take his French Open and GOAT title.
Then again, I'd expect them to say something similar if there were only two sets played so long as both players put up even half a fight... |

This is Federer's career defining moment. Completing the career GS which even the most rabid fan had given up on and tying Pete. A failure would be devastating and perhaps give credibility to certain Wilander comments,
There has been no more important match in the last 10 years. I took Rog in 3 because Tinker Bell, I believe. Roger, garp6 believes in you!!!!!! Bring it home! |

I hate (HATE) to say it, but I don't see Robin taking a set. In fact, I'm going to predict that Roger will double the number of games over Robin: Fed=18, Rob=9.
It honestly makes me sick to my stomach to think we're only a few hours away from Federer winning the slam that he never should've won. Not to mention matching Sampras' record. This will be a dark dark day in Kirk World. (Sorry. I love all you Federer fans. But I just don't like your guy.) |
