Any of the men seem ok to me, except maybe Robredo. He would be on par with Albert Costa's victory. Kind of a big yawn.

For the women, Safina. I just want her to get that major title. She has been playing so terrific for the last 13 months. I'd get a chuckle if Serena won; the naysayers (including me this time) were wrong again.

I can't see Serena losing a final to anyone but her sister, and only at Wimbledon.

I'm still not convinced Serena is going to get there. I think Kuznetsova is going to beat her.

I was going to state my case when I caught a glimpse of all of your medals. Forget it.

*Roger of course.

*Cibulkova vs. Stosur or Cirstea. Let the two top women sit this one out- enough from the both of them. (Actually, I can see myself being real happy with any of the women winning.) (Face it, though- it's gonna be Dinara vs. Serena in the final. And when Dinara wins- which is what looks like will happen- I won't begrudge her this victory. Don't think that Serena has enough clay court skills to win- unless Dinara chokes. Which, of course, could easily happen.)

I haven't won a medal in a very long time (other than 3rd place prediction contest for the WTA last year).

Serena can fool us all though. I just thought on this surface, she couldn't come in that unprepared and win. But, you are right. She gets to the final, she wins. So, she gets past Sveta, she wins.

Sorana. Any result accompanied with Sorana winning a GS would make me ecstatic.

Dinara beats the crap out of Serena. Actually any scenario where Dinara wins is good for me.

Fed winning over Gonzo. I would like to see Gonzo win a slam but my desire to see Roger win the career slam trumps that by far

Men:
1) Gonzalez, I like him, I think he deserves a slam, and he's the second best player left.
2) Robredo, not going to happen, but I think it'd be kind of great
3) Federer, so that people would stop talking about it, and it'd add intrigue to an already interesting ATP year
4) del Potro. I don't think he's ready, but it'd be nice if he steps up.

Not Soderling or Monfils, although the first would be funny. Monfils winning would only make all the other Frenchmen, whom I actually like, play worse, I think.

Women:
1) Safina d. Kuznetsova
2) Safina d. Cirstea/Stosur winner (I think Sammy's outdone herself already, but I like her lots, so, in fantasy land, it'd be great if she'd somehow make a final)
3) Kuznetsova d. Safina
4) Safina d. Serena (conflicted between wanting to see Dinara smack the crap out of Serena and not wanting to see Serena for any more rounds)

Would not enjoy Serena winning, or Cibulkova in the final or beyond; nor Cirstea winning

And since everyone cares:
ATP Doubles - Nestor/Zimonjic! Although young clay courter upstarts Dick Norman and Wesley Moodie winning would be hilarious
WTA Doubles - Azarenka/Vesnina or VRP/Medina Garrigues
Mixed Doubles - Petrova/Mirnyi! or Groenefeld/Knowles

At French it is very possible. On hardcourts slams, I agree.
