Default Question about super sat. for us open
U.S. Open tickets are going on sale soon (June 1st if you're an American Express card holder) and I'm thinking of trying to get super saturday tickets (along with grounds day passes for the first day), but I'm confused about something. At first I thought (perhaps naively) that the super saturday tickets would give you the women's final and both mens semi's, but when I looked online, there will be tickets on sale on that saturday for the day and tickets for the evening.
So my question is, will daytime tickets only give you the women's final and a men's semi, or just the women's final, or something else?
Also, if anyone has experience with going on super saturday, what was your experience like, and what would you recommend to others?
Thanks a bunch to whoever answers.

LE:

Look for GV Girl to weigh in with more definitive info, but the womens final (a night match) is, I beleive, a separate ticket than the two mens semis, which are held during the day. The women;s final moved to Saturday evening back in the early 2000s (the first time Venus and Serena played the final, I believe), and has been the night match ever since.

If something is changing for this coming year, GV Girl will definitely know, and will post a correction to what I have said here.

Yes, actually in 2001 - a few days before 9/11

Daytime tix - Day session includes Men's semis and other matches on the grounds including juniors, seniors/legends, and wheelchair divisions.

Nightime tix - Women's Final only!

Day session is the better bargain! More tennis for your money! Kourtin Karen likes Kourt hopping. IMHO Men's semis are more entertaining than the women's final.

The last time a women's final went to three sets was the last millennium. I say this and I've attended many of them.

Hope this is helpful to you. If you need additional info please send me a private message.

I'm working on this year's edition of My US Open tips. Please check out the US Open Tailgate threads for some of them until I complete my new list.
