I'm surprised they put Rafa on Lenglen. What a day we will have: Dina, Gilles Simon and Rafa. Okay, I could do without Maria, but it will give us an occasion to stroll about It'll be my first time to see Rafa !!!! and maybe we will see the end either of Fabrice, either of Alize |

and Dina !!!! I think m8 is going to be happy. I think Petrova-Sharapova is going to be extremely interesting, and will give me an occasion to strut my Russian flag (was using it for warmth today) I might skip out on you for two of the three Rafa-Timur sets Unbelievable - it's your first time seeing Rafa! See you in 9.5 hours! |

But I warned you we are scaling the wall (or, I'm sitting at the Place de Musketeers by myself watching it on the screen) There's a whole lot of GREAT matches being played tomorrow! |

“For the Americans, a lot of times, this isn’t our main goal of the year. Ours is generally Wimbledon and the U.S. Open,” Blake said.
“I think if we were to try to prepare completely for the French Open, we would be giving away some of our advantage at the Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. That’s where we excel. We’d rather, I think, prepare best for what our strengths are.” http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns Way to go Blake |

“For the Americans, a lot of times, this isn’t our main goal of the year. Ours is generally Wimbledon and the U.S. Open,” Blake said. If Rafa can do Aussie, Clay and Grass...why can't the Americans? If Serena can win the French Open .....then Roddick, Blake, even Wayne and Ginepri can go further. Spare me that "oh that is where we excel at" crap. If ya wanna compete,GO OUT AND COMPETE! How much respect would we have for all of the clay courters that come over to the USA for the hardcourt season.....what would we say about them if they offered up this bit of drivel: "oh we are clay court specialists. That is where we excel at. We are just obligated to come to some of these events otherwise, we are just waiting until the clay court season rolls around again because that is where we excel at!". Top players.....play on ANY surface. At least...Pete tried. And he NEVER offered LAME excuses! |
