Did the person who made this list ever heard about... GUSTAVO KUERTEN???!

He has at least 3 moments for this list: 4th round against Russel in 2001 (saved M.P. and draw the heart for the first time), Quarterfinals against Kafelnikov in 2000 (was down 2 sets to 1 and a break in the fourth but came back roaring) Semifinals against Ferrero in 2000 (same case as quarterfinals 2000). You could evem add the dramatic 2000 final when he lost 10 match points and had bad line calls against Norman.

1 - Justine x Serena semi 2003...anyone???
Igor, I love you. You remember when Guga first drew a heart? Awesome. I didn't know.

I was going to say the final with Norman. I don't remember any of Guga's matches from the first year he won - 1997? - but I believe he beat the three prior French Open champs on the way to the title, bopping abound the court like he was a surfer listening to a Walkman.

He's definitely one of the heroes of Roland Garros, hard to believe he was omitted.

The first match I noticed missing was of course the Kimmie / J Cap final also, but it's hard to argue with their number one choice, I would watch that match over and over.

Perhaps not the most memorable match...but easily, one of the most memorable images:

Megan! Everybody started to cry here in Brazil when Guga drew the heart after 2001 final against Corretja! It was very, very emotional seeing a national hero conquering the tennisworld heart.

Moose, the round of 16 agains Russel it's memorable as the picture here. Guga saved match point hitting a breathtaking forehand in the baseline in the middle of the point, the crowd screamed scared and the point continues till a winner by Guga. Russel spent hours returning every shot Guga sent to him, but from the jaws of hell Guga survived, won the match and drew the heart of the photo you posted!

AMAZING GUGA! If wasn't his body betraying him, he should have conquered much more! Even one or two US Opens. But...life goes on!

I was a huge Corretja fan, Igor. I remember that match well.

I got to see Russell twice at Indian Wells this year. A win against Garcia Lopez, and a hard fought, incredibly fun match against Tursunov (he lost in 3 sets). He plays the exact kind of tennis I love, tenaious defense until you get that one shot at a winner (or your opponent hits an error). Shame his career never really caught fire.

Really Moose??! Do you really like the "return-everything" kind of player??? The only player with this style that I ever liked is Lleyton Hewitt. Russell tried to drive me crazy that sunday morning in Paris!

Yeah, I do, Igor. My two all time fave women, Arantxa and Kim, could run down anything. I'm a huge fan of Ferrer, who's the same way. I'm one of those freaks who loves a great defensive game.

Igor, you're like a Guga historian! What is he doing now, do you know?
