Who wins if both players retire simultaneously? I suppose BYE is declared the winner...
But, if everyone retires in such fashion in the first round of a tournament, who gets the trophy? Does BYE get his/her name finally recognized on the roll of past champions? Will the sponsors know what to do if no one is there to shake hands with them? |

One person per match bows out....so in the end....one person will get the trophy by default without playing a single match.....you better believe that winner will go down in history with an asterisk next to her name! Think of it as a chance for a player to win a wta title event where she never would have or ....ever will again |
