I'm thinking the US open is gonna be to Rafa what the French is to Federer.
One hopes...

I can't imagine him not winning it. The more intriguing question to me is will he win each slam at least twice?

Wait, I thought that Andy Murray was going to get to number one this year?
Egad, I hope not.

I think that too. It seems like there's a whole bunch of players who win three slams and come close to the fourth, but never get it.

On second thought, though, how often if that elusive fourth slam on hard courts?

Okay, so who are all the "three-slammers" and what is their missing slam?
~~~~
I looked them up! I thing I have most.
WTA
French - Davenport, Sharapova, Hingis
Wimbledon - Henin, Seles
ATP
French - Federer, Sampras, Becker, Edberg, Conners
Wimbledon - Lendl, Wilander, Vilas,
US Open - Nadal
I think you are missing Evonne Goolagong.
So with 15ish minutes of research, it looks like Nadal is the only player to have three slams and have the missing fourth slam be on a hard court. To me, that makes it look like he'll almost certainly win the US Open eventually.
She's it! She's the one!
Goolagong won three slams and missed out on the US Open. Crazy! So Nadal would not be the first to ever do it.
Can you think of anyone else?
This is going way back, but I don't think the likes of Lacoste, Cochet, Tilden, Pancho Gonzalez, Rosewall, Newcombe, Crawford, etc. won all four either. Mainly because most did not go to the AO.
I think the best way to think of this is to only include the Open Era, because if you go before that, there are way too many people to consider.
