I think Zvonareva's groundstrokes are some of the cleanest in the game. First time I ever saw her play was years ago in a final against Lindsey on the green clay and between them the unforced error count was very low - one of the cleanest, pure-hitting finals I ever watched.
I'm not big on 2-handed backhands, but on the men's side, I think Nalbandian's is one of the best around. |

I should have added earlier, while not necessarily "current," cleanest strokes: DAVENPORT! The sound of the ball coming off her racquet was heavenly. And the helicopter forehand! I still say Amelie's is the most beautiful, but Lindsay's is the most thrilling. And if we're adding clips as evidence... Davenport Unleashed And this one just cuz it made me laugh. The Serve |

Have to agree. She's a beautiful volleyer, but I always found the rest of her game so loopy and, well, weak. And I hate the way she jumps into her forehand. I do enjoy CSN and Amelie's backhands when they come over the ball. I also love Vaidisova's and Azarenka's forehands when they're in their zones. And Gasquet's backhand is a slice of heaven. |
