She better not! I just put her on my team!!!
LOL, trying to find an official link, but I think it's legit.

After her win in Paris Open, Amélie Mauresmo has announced she would withdraw from Dubai tournament, which began Sunday. The French had little chance to shine in the UAE since the organizers have scheduled on Monday, against the Spaniard Medina Garrigues (No. 14), which would have forced to travel through the night to arrive on time.
Expected, good choice.

Amelie's in a place again where she has to pull out of tournaments because she won the one before. It truly is a magical time.

UAE is going to get so much flak over the Shahar Peer thing...Even Qatar let her in, why couldn't Dubai?

Mauresmo pulling out is good. With a traveling schedule like that, she'd have been hard pressed to make it out of the first round, much less have a decent rest of the tournament.

UAE won't care about the flak
The only thing that will affect them would be losing the tournaments (or the players) and that won't happen.

Meanwhile, all this distraction almost made me miss this tastiness: Agnieszka drew lil sis first up in Dubai.

And Ana gets a rematch v. Kleybanova.

Urszula wins the first Tour-level match between the sisters Radwanska in straights in front of a crowd of... their parents...maybe a few cousins.

Nice on-court interview afterwards, but a little awkward considering the interviewer must have made up 10% of the crowd.
