Maybe it's just the (lack of) shadows playing tricks on the eye, but this is, uhh, interesting.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what kind of shot did Alize just hit to be holding the racquet at that angle? And for that matter, why does MariaK have her wrist that far under the racquet handle?

It's nice to see that since Tatiana couldn't make it, she was kind enough to give Alize some fashion advice.

Maria's pic is probably taken on return of serve, while Alize' shot is her standard heavy western forehand follow through.

And yeah, I also think Maria comes across with more features on this pic...

I thought she looked quite different when I was watching her match, as well. She was blonde, and her hair was different, probably, but I don't know if much else really changed that much.

I was pretty sure the hair was different, but she appeared to have a much rounder face in last year's picture. Probably due to the visor. In any case, last year's look was much better. And hate the top with the black sleeve thingies.
