Won't be able to stay up and watch this but I'm rooting for Andy to make a break through.

Methinks Serena's days of scraping by are over. Much less a foregone conclusion is Safina/Zvonareva. Right now I'm going for Vera but Safina winning is never a bad thing. With any of these permutations, I have high hopes for the final.

This one is not looking good for Dinara. Although they're on good terms now, Vera and Dinara aren't exactly friends, and I think that's another thing that helps Vera, who's been playing so much better anyway. In fact, Vera hasn't lost to Dinara since she put on the bitchfest over Dinara's fistpumping at Moscow 2007.

I'm hoping someone in the front row starts cutting an onion at some point. Anything to make Vera cry

And Go, Elena, naturally!

Good. They plowed the road again, so I was able to swing down to town and buy some incredibly important supplies:

Oreos
Potato chips
Nacho cheese Combos
Hanover's Sourdough pretzel bites
Beef jerky
Beer

I intend to be thoroughly well done on both sides before tonight's singles matches even start. And I ain't sharing... So don't ask.

God, I'm going to have to find some time to both go to the gym and take a nap in order to get all this tennis viewing in. I haven't quite reached General Tso's chicken in the espresso grinder yet, but something's gotta give tonight. I have a feeling it will be going to class.

Every time Serena has made the semis of the Australian Open, she's won the tournament.

My SP plan looks spoiled.

What the ef were we thinking?

Not only is it Serena Williams, but the Odd Year Rule is in play.

Our only hope at this point is if Venus accidentally asphyxiates Serena with her weave.

I know. But, if it means Serena reaching double digits I'm ok with that.

Sounds like a plan to me.
