Anyone know what happened to Tati Golovin?
It's her back, Tog. Chrinic injury. Rehab, and surgery for a cyst removal, and still she can't play. Everytime she gets back on court to try hitting some balls, it reaggravates, and she ends up sidelined all over again.

She's doing everything she can to strengthen it and hopefully come back to the Tour, but there's a good chance we won't be seeing Tati again from what all has been said.

So Kohli/Sam I Am gets mentioned, but not a possible 3rd rounder of Philipp v. Andy? Are people's memories that short. It was only the best match of the '08 Aussie (though if you want to say Tipsy/Fed, I'll forgive you).

If Kohl beats sam, Ferrero won't choke like he did this week, that's why

(Ferrero won't be beating anyone, actually )

I asked this question in another thread that went nowhere, but I think this is the one I should have used.

Okay, gang, I need help again. Just like last year, I can't get the printable draw at the AO site to work. Is there somewhere else I can get a printable draw? Thanks.

I know they won't show it on TV, but I'm excited Kimiko is back. Maybe I'll get to see her if she pulls off the small miracle of getting to Dinara in the 3rd round.

I downloaded them and attached to this post, see if these will save and open from here.

Just in case you don't know.
Nicolas Kiefer withdraws from Australian Open

Saturday 17 January 2009

Germany’s Nicolas Kiefer has been forced to withdraw from this year’s Australian Open with a left ankle injury.

Kiefer, World No.37, injured himself last week in Perth during the Hopman Cup and had been hoping to be fit in time for the start of the Australian Open on Monday.

Four Canadians in the main draws! I imagine it's been a while since there were that many. Three made it through qualifying (Dancevic as a lucky loser) and all ended up drawing seeds in the first round. Wozniak is a seed herself, but has drawn Lisicki in the first round, and potentially Dementieva in the third round. If they go 3-4 collectively, they'll have outperformed expectations.
