Jie Zheng has gotten off to a nice start. Enjoyed her run at Wimbledon, but I really loved watching her play Jelena at the US (a bunch of us were at the match).

Given she has practically nothing to defend til IW, she can really position herself well if she stays healthy. It'll be interesting to see if the end of the '08 season was the anomoly, or if the rest of her '08 season was.

Wozniak in a tight battle with little Radwanska. Aleksandra had at least one MP late in the second set...

U Radwanska is coming back from the dead against Wozniak. Currently receiving at 3-6 7-6 5-4.

Yesterday she beat Dubois 2-6 7-6 6-4.

I'm impressed.

Haven't those in the loop said that Ursula is likely to be the better Radwanska someday?

Someone said it about 2 years ago, but I doubt it. If she was THAT good she would have been already in the top 100 long ago...

I didn't see either match, but didn't Serena beat both sisters at Wimbledon and have a tougher time with Ursula?

I checked. Serena beat U Rad in the second round 6-4 6-4. She beat A Rad in the QF 6-4 6-0.

That could be explained by Serena gaining steam as she always does, though.
