Ernests has no luck whatsoever with draws...
Yep, absolutely horrendous draws for him for long time now.

Petra Kvitova did defeat Venus in the first round at Memphis last year and if Ana is not on her game, she will have loads of practice for Melbourne.

I would like to see Dokic/Mauresmo. I wish it wasn't the first round.

Very dangerous 1st round for Ana. Petra is much better than her current ranking indicates...
Which should be perfect practice.

As for Gulbis, he was apparently going through a "screw tennis" mental stage at the end of last year, hope he's back to form now.

Has Rodionova decided to represent Russia again? She did represent Australia for a while, didn't she, starting from the beginniing of last year?

There's some sort of government restriction on her getting Australian citizenship (I think she has to stay there a certain number of months in a year, which she can't since she travels so much). She's said Tennis Australia tried to help her but the government won't push it through. Apparently, she is/was allowed to play some tournaments for Australia with her current residency status last year.

Okay thanks. That's really strange that she was able to represent Australia for a temporary period of time last year, makes it incredibly confusing for me. It should be that she either gets to represent them or not.
