Seriously though, I dont think enough people saw the Basel final between Federer and Nalbandian. In terms of shot making, Nalbandian was playing as well as last year in Madrid/Paris and Federer was playing as well as last year in Shanghai. Just watch these highlights.

I don't immerse myself in tournaments as much as many of you do, so it's hard for me to give a considered answer. But I have to agree with Aedra that the middle weekend of Australian was incredible. One amazing match followed another.
For concentrated greatness, that's up there with the non-main-court action at the US Open on Tailgate Saturday, with the five-set battles between Ferrer/Nishikori, Murray/Melzer, Del Potro/Simon and Wawrinka/Cipolla. |

I think all the people who are picking Wimbledon are picking Wimbledon because it was the Slam where Nole got eliminated the earliest. I had forgotten about that! I did pick Wimbledon, though. With sensational upsets on both sides, the return of Safin, the rise of Jie Zheng, a high quality match with Venus against Serena, and the best men's final in years, if not ever, it's hard to compete with Wimbledon 2008. Runner Up: Australian Open. Davenport created early buzz. The Serbians took out the Williams sisters. SO many exciting matches. Hewitt/Baghdatis, Federer/Tipsarevic, Roddick/Kohlschreiber, Tsonga/Murray, Jankovic/Paszek, Sharapova/Henin, Hantuchova/Ivanovic. It was some good stuff. Maybe we should do most disappointing tournament of 08? |

In general, Wimbledon always and forever. Though with the top 4 women playing so horribly (all out before the second week), I'd say the AO took top honors. Atrocious nontheless. Ivanovic losing is what made Wimbledon so special for me. Sharapova losing was wild too. |

Thought about it for a while, and picked Miami. Lotta cool stuff went down there.
Serena crushes Justine Lindsay crushes Ana Davydenko crushes Nadal Youzhny crushes his head Sveta plays the best match of hers I've ever seen to beat Venus Serena avenges Venus in another tight match Roddick beats Roger Kevin Anderson beats Novak A phenomenally hotmessalicious Serena-Jelena final. |
