good friend of TAT L. Jon Wertheim's posted his annual awards. And a lot of TAT favorites are award winners:

Player of the Year: Rafa and Venus

Newcomer: Cilic and Wozniacki

Comeback Player: Soderling and Groenefeld

Coach of the Year: Uncle Tony and Oracene

I had forgotten the JJ quote. That was classic. And Sesil "The Mouth That Roared" Karatancheva certainly has a way with a quip, doesn't she.

If there was an award for runnerup match of the year, or non-Slam final match of the year, I'd go Fed/Tipsy at the Aussie for the men, Jelena/Sofia Arvidsson at the USO.

I think any choice amongst the top 6 minus Dinara and Elena would be hard to argue against. Though Venus does look pretty on his book cover.

I liked the "Agent of the Year" category and winner.

WTA player of the year was between Venus and Serena. You can argue for either one.

As for WTA coach since both Oracene and Richard coach their daughters it should be a joint award for the both of them.

Otherwise I'm okay with his choices.
