Is this a misleading headline? The article suggests she'll basically just be a hitting partner... Which, well, that's what she's been most of her life, one way or another. But that's a far cry from a mentoring role.

But then again, I read it very quickly.

Maybe they were going for a laugh when they wrote the headline and figured they'd probably get away with it? Which they probably will. LOL!

The girl may have had some problems but face it...I don't see you getting on Vaidisova the same way you are getting on Jelena! And truthfully, Nicole is more of a laughingstock than Jelena is AND....

Just because she has had some problems in the past doesn't mean she doesn't know tennis and can't share what she knows with the young ones! Further.....she can also share her "experiences" to let them know what NOT to do if they are serious about a tennis career!

Perhaps you missed the entire "jurgen the Melzer" discussion, Missin. I think we've been brutal on Vaidisova, and rightfully so. But Nicole has only been a screw up for, at most, the last year. Dokic has, by years of crazy conduct, earned a unique place in our hearts.

I love a great redemption story, and wish her the best. But by my count, this is at least her fifth "I'm getting it together" scene. She lost my goodwill after #3.

I think at this point....I can say what I want to Moose and dry. And both of them will happily set me straight. I wouldn't, of course, take the same liberty with you.
