Three words:

Flaming Tennis Balls
Your wish has been granted:

There are a few other videos, some at night so you just see the ball, but they either take a while to get to the actual tennis, or are too jumpily edited.

I would love to see tennis on an incline.
I played tennis on an incline once. Regionals, Salem High School vs. Shelbyville High School. On both sides, the court sloped just a bit downward from the net. We were literally hitting uphill. Still remember it.

I would like to see changing sides after every game and the players would have to run and jump over the net..... No breaks between games...hmmmm.....(and this is only to see who is really in shape and who is going to fall on their face!)

Of course, Dr. Ivo would have an advantage as he would just walk over the net and to the baseline in two steps.

5 or 6 players to a side. your team can hit the ball twice (meaning, you can set up your partners) and the object of the game is to HIT THE OTHER PLAYERS.
Walls all around so you can get the ricochets. If the balls dies in your side, your partners must play closer to the net and can not back off.
Goggles accepted, but no other forms of personal protection.

Default If Extreme tennis was developed, what'd you like seeing in it
If someone developed 'Extreme Tennis', where the game
is turned into an extreme sport, what unique and original
(serious or humorous) things would you like seeing in it,
compared to the normal way tennis is played on a grass or
clay court ?

I would love to see tennis on an incline.

Actually one of the courts I've played on numerous times has a pronounced incline. It's so funny hitting slice serves on it because they are basically unreturnable.

I like doubles with one naked player tethered to another naked player with a regulation sized rope so they need to move in some sort of unified pattern. Some sort of penalty formula where blindfolds may be incorporated.

I should have run to be Etienne's replacement....

How is that extreme? Meanwhile, they already tried that in '84 with McEnroe and Connors. It was a disaster.

OK. It can be played in extreme cold or extreme heat or at a steep incline or with select fans who have paintball guns who are allowed to shoot players from the waist up between points.

Playing tennis on ice or during heavy rain is fun.

Also, playing at night with no lights...

I'd like to see Andy Roddick smacking 150 mph earth scorching serves directly at Ai Sugiyama.

I'd like to see tennis played on a snowy mountain, in some sort of halfpipe. And instead of holding tennis racquets, the players would have their feet strapped into some kind of board. And instead of hitting balls, they would perform twists and flips.

To be fair, Martina and Chrissie had much more practice at it, though.

Must nelslus dominate every thread on this board?

::

Would it be unacceptable to hope for Mariana Alves' dismemberment? And while we're at it, how about a Justin Gimelstob castration (e.g., how many times can you snip and toss in 60 seconds)?

I'd like to see continuous play. As in when someone hit's a ball out or hits a winner another ball is served by Dr. Ivo back into play. And to make his serve all the more challenging to return, it would be played on wood. Dr. Ivo would keep running back and forth to serve and whoever collapses last would win.
